3Rides x buycycle - Ride like the champs - these are the winning bikes! Dutch rider Lucinda Brand (Lidl-Trek) took part in the first gravel race of her life yesterday - and secured the title in the process. The CycloCross World Champion on her Trek Gravel Bike clearly pulled away from her rivals as early as the second lap - and although the Trek Domane on which she took her victory yesterday is not on buycycle, there are still more than 100 others.
Lucinda Brand (Netherlands) and Daan Soete (Belgium) are the winners of the second Gravel World Championship qualifying race at 3RIDES in Aachen. While the former cyclo-cross world champion pulled away from her female rivals on the second of three laps of the 123 kilometers in Aachen, Soete surprised her male rivals as an outsider in the final sprint. The best German rider was Rosa Klöser (Team MAAP x Rose Global Athlete), who beat top star Lorena Wiebes (Netherlands) among others in a world-class field.
A highlight and another premiere at 3RIDES. On Saturday, May 11th, the CHIO grounds in Aachen provided the venue for the first Gravel Eliminator, which, according to participants and observers, has what it takes to become a new format. Under the sporting direction of eight-time German cross and one-time German road champion Marcel Meisen, this new competition was created, which once again increased the appetite for the gravel races on Sunday.

Our event this year is not only particularly sporty. We are continuing to drive forward our claim to be the most versatile cycling event in Europe. In 2024, we will be demonstrating this with a three-day programme that we are organizing together with the city of Aachen, the NRW Cycling Association, the German Cycling Federation and ex-cross world champion Mike Kluge. On all three days of the 3RIDES, we and our partners offer very practical, fun and educational experiences for children, families, e-bike riders and talented riders.
