17.-19.07.2026
IN THE FIFTH YEAR OF 3RIDES, IT'S TIME FOR A NEW CHAPTER: THE GRAVEL STAGE RACE AT 3RIDES WINTERBERG .

17-19 JULY 2026 IN WINTERBERG
STAGE 1: GRAVEL TIME TRIAL
FEW KILOMETERS, LOTS OF FUN: THE GRAVEL TIME TRIAL TO KICK THINGS OFF
20 kilometers, 500 vertical meters, 1 lap
The 3RIDES Gravel Winterberg weekend starts with a highlight of the new event concept. The gravel time trial is not only the perfect test of form for stage hunters and the basis for awarding the leader's jersey, but also ideal for all amateur riders without racing experience to get a taste of competition on a short course. The prologue can be combined not only with the following two stages, but also with the subsequent rides. Combine the best of both worlds and your desired program in just one weekend!
With almost 98 percent gravel, the opening lap of 3RIDES Gravel Winterberg leads through the area northwest of Winterberg - and the 500 meters of elevation gain already offer a foretaste of what awaits on the upcoming stages.

STAGE 2:
THE WINTERBERG NORTH LOOP WITH TOP OF SAUERLAND
80 / 120 kilometers, 2000 / 3000 vertical meters, 2 / 3 laps
Asphalt remains the exception on the second stage of 3RIDES Gravel Winterberg. The race only rolls over roads for a few short connecting sections. Otherwise, the 40-kilometre lap, which is ridden two or three times depending on the age group, provides pure variety right up to the last meter.
The route leads down into the valley once to the north and once to the south, with the highlight being the passage on the Kahler Asten at almost 842 meters. The route crosses the watershed between the Rhine and Weser rivers several times - and almost exactly 1,000 meters of altitude per lap require good strength management - especially for all stage riders who also ride the second stage and the UCI Gravel World Series race after the gravel time trial on Friday.

STAGE 3:
THE FINAL AND UCI GRAVEL WORLD SERIES

98 / 147 kilometers, 2400 / 3600 vertical meters, 2 / 3 laps
The finale of 3RIDES Gravel Winterberg is also a stop on the UCI Gravel World Series - so it's not just about winning stages and the overall standings for the gravel weekend in the cycling and winter sports stronghold in Sauerland, but also about qualifying for the Gravel World Championships, which will take place in Nannup, Australia, in 2026.
On paper at least, the route for the finale is a little easier - which the participants should make up for by riding faster. In addition, depending on the age group, this time there are 2400 or even 3600 meters of altitude difference, spread over around 20 climbs per lap. The longest of these is almost 300 meters in altitude. So there are no gifts here either - and certainly no boredom.
